we are currently looking for 2 x Multi Skilled Facilities Engineers for an in house client based in London presently and am wondering if you would be interested or know any one who would be.

Duties include:-

 

  1. To carry out all reactive and proactive maintenance work as per Supervisors’ instructions, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.
  2. 2. To carry out installation, rectification, maintenance and overhaul of all plant.
  3. 3. To deliver on maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
  4. To ensure correct operation and completion of Computer Aided Facilities Management system, including time recording, analysis and development.
  5. 5. To provide a first class, flexible, adaptable, responsive service, ensuring courtesy and attentiveness, with a particular focus on customer satisfaction.
  6. 6. To ensure that all work fully complies with the requirements of local authorities, English Heritage, HSE legislation, NT licence requirements, current building regulations and BS guidance.
  7. 7. To effectively liaise with external contractors.

 

Person Specification

Essential

  1. Substantial experience in a similar role.
  2. Recognised electrical/mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G 2360)
  3. City and Guilds Part 3 qualifications or equivalent (e.g. FTC/ONC) (C&G 2391, 2381)
  4. An adequate understanding of legislation relevant to the theatre, including:           – COSSH                        – EWR – Manual handling                        – Current IEE wiring regulations                   – Health and Safety legislation  – Local authority technical regulations
  5. Ability to take instructions and work as part of a team as well as on his/her own   initiative, without supervision.
  6. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and compliance with statutory health and safety requirements.
  7. Knowledge of emergency procedures and ability to remain calm under pressure, in stressful situations and in emergencies.
  8. Ability to communicate with staff and members of the public in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
  9. High levels of adaptability; quick to embrace new ideas, logical in addressing technical or customer related issues.
  10. Full understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
  11. Ability to communicate with staff and members of the public in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
  12. Ability to build effective relationships with work colleagues.
  13. Ability to work at heights from various platforms including vertical powered platforms and scaffold towers.
  14. Ability to work in confined/enclosed spaces.
  15. Computer literate.
  16. Desirable

Adequate understanding of legislation relevant to theatre, including:

  1. Local authority technical regulations
  2. Current commercial gas installation qualification (COCN1, TPCP1A, CIGA1)
  3. Adequate understanding of legislation relevant to theatre, including: – Current IEE wiring regulations (17th Edition) – Health and safety legislation – L8 – Approval Code of Practice & Guidance on Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems – Asbestos awareness – IPAF
  4. BMS Trend software experience
  5. Lutron lighting control experience
  6. To have previously operated within a multi skilled engineer’s role
