Job Overview

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To provide effective leadership of the operational procurement team within the defined geographical areas, and ensure procurement and supply chain alignment with the delivery of the regional business plans.

KEY DELIVERABLES

ACTIVITY

Group Procurement Hub Management

Effective team management and development of the Group Procurement Hub function, ensuring alignment with, and delivery of the operational business needs for the procurement and supply chain function.

Supply Chain Management

Responsible for supporting the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership Team in the delivery of the Supply Chain Engagement and Selection Strategy through undertaking key activities identified in stages 1-7 of the strategy.

Ownership of the subcontract profiling process and matrices, to ensure that the procurement function offers effective input in to the formation of tender lists to support all regional bidding activity.

Work Winning Support

Responsible for the circulation of the regional strategic pipeline on a monthly basis to the defined strategic supply chain partners (in coordination with the preconstruction teams) and the capturing and reporting of value / innovation.

Aggregation and operational procurement targets

Owns the aggregation process for the region, and is responsible for alignment with the other Procurement and Category Managers to deliver the Group aggregation targets.Feeding in to the production of a monthly aggregation report for the Group.

Category Management

Responsible for the management of a defined number of procurement categories, ensuring the effective delivery of the category strategy and the associated financial objectives for the category set by Group procurement.

Operational Procurement Strategies

Responsible for delivering the procurement strategy in partnership with the operational teams across all focus win / strategic projects.

Responsible for marshalling the regional procurement resource to ensure the delivery of a project specific procurement strategy (developed in partnership with the operational teams) across ALL projects within the region.

Supporting Group Strategy

Responsible for supporting the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership Team with key data capture on entry and exit costs to build and manage the NG Bailey Price Barometer.

Responsible for driving a strong performanceculture across the region, owning and managing the regional procurement and supply chain dashboards and demonstrating value-add and ROI to the Operations Directors on an ongoing basis

Accountable for the delivery of annual operational procurement savings targets as agreed with the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership Team

Financial Targets

Responsible for supporting the Group Head of Procurement & Supply Chain with the delivery of the Group Rebate target on an annual basis

Responsible for the delivery of defined operational procurement savings on an annual basis as agreed with the Group Head of Procurement & Supply Chain

EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

Experience in effectively leading an operational procurement team.

Experience of strategic procurement and supply chain management to support work winning, operational delivery and delivery best possible costs vs value outcomes.

EXPERIENCE DESIRABLE

Experienced in supply chain consolidation and unlocking additional value and innovation through strategic alignment

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and qualifications normally associated with successful performance of role. Please specify if any qualifications or professional memberships are essential, e.g. for contractual or legal reasons.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS – ESSENTIAL

Relevant degree or 10yrs+ procurement and/or supply chain experience

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS – DESIRABLE

CIPS – Membership
