Job purpose- To manage and supervise direct staff and subcontractors. Determine and order plant & materials as required. Ensure projects are set out and set up correctly and completed to strict time, cost and quality targets.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
·For allocating staff to specific projects.
·Control information flow for projects and ensure up to date.
·Keep accurate records of own and team activities.
·Ensure health & safety levels are maintained and paperwork up to date.
·Liaise with customers and clients on a regular basis.
·Support surveying department to ensure tight cost controls.
·To ensure KPI’s are delivered accurately and on time, reported, managed and communicated.
·Prepare and/or update risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments when necessary.
·Preparing and then managing project programmes.
·Check actions are planned and executed.
·Communicate with site foremen and/or carry out site visits.
·Record daily diary of activities including staff levels relating to individual projects.
·Ensure site teams are fully resourced (labour, plant, materials) to operate efficiently.
·Monitor H & S, material and plant requirements. (Obtain prices as required and compare)
·Check setting out
·121 with Managing director.
·Follow up actions from 121’s.
·Manage any ongoing project and site visits.
·Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction.
·Keep health and safety paperwork up to date.
·Attend weekly office/team meeting and report on progress.
·Manage health and safety audits.
·Prepare reports for surveying/estimating departments.
·Review staff/training requirements.
·Prepare and submit monthly personal expenses claim form.
·Review targets and budgets against actuals and adjust accordingly.
·Liaise with the retained health and safety advisor.
·Attend internal company meetings as necessary.
·Attend client meetings/presentations as necessary.

5.Normal working hours will be 7.30-5.00 Monday to Friday.
